Rockin'Out Has Never Looked This Good!

It's so hard too look fabulous on that long flight out to LA or Aspen. You pricelined everything and snagged an award-winning-type-of-deal on your flight and all inclusive vacation. Now all you have to do is pack right and look like the million bucks you are! Who said you have to splurge to look like you spent the same amount as the other full-price-paying-buffoons on the flight with you! It starts with the uber cool headphones, the first thing everyone will notice (I am sorry but the Manolo's will be ignored for the time being). Check out the pictures here to see what I am talking about, order one, it is even worth the expedited shipping so you can get it on time, then sit back and relax while you watch that chick flick you have been dying to see but not finding the time to do it!

Jewlery! Get In Line for $8!

If you are anything like me, you have already outgrown your large jewelery free-standing-mini-armoire, and the three drawers in your vanity. What's a fashionista to do...there are just so many choices and we must have all of them! So while I am going to keep my Hermes bracelets and YSL masterpieces inside the armoire, I need some more organizing solutions for the rest of them... you know that long necklace I picked up at the consignment shop, the bracelet from J Crew and the pin I ordered from eBay.
So here it is to you, on sale at the container store are these clear trays, some of them come with lids in case you don't have drawers to put them in and need to protect them from dust, and some of them don't have lids. The one in the picture below is my favorite because not all the compartments are the same size and it is big enough and small enough to allow me to put all jewelery pieces that go together. So for example I have a number of 1950's inspired pieces, in the small compartments I put my earrings and rings, and the bigger ones are for my pins and necklaces. This makes it so easy so I don't have mix styles in the same tray.

Fresh Pink Silk Scarf- Perfect for Fall Layering

A delicate silk scarf can go with any outfit. In the fall you can wear it with a black suite, white or pink dress shirt and tuck it in at the throat. You can also tie it like a bow around one of your bag handles and it will make look like a completely new bag. On the weekend you can tie it around your jeans just like a belt. If you are from DC this is a piece of Americana that you can wear in May and feel completely part of the Cherry Blossom town spirit.
The scarf costs $48.00.

Dennis Basso Jacket with Rushed Collar

You know how it gets a little breezy at the end of October. One minute the sun is shining and the second the wind adds this chill that takes you by surprise. Well this jacket is so light that you can carry it with you anywhere. You can wear it to the ball park, on your way to the gym, when you want to do some shopping, on a weekend in the Hamptons, or the Catskills.  The only way I would not wear is with a suite, but everything else is a GO!
And the best part its for $49.95.

Orange Pop Top

I love this top! the details on it are fantastic, from the embroidery to the streamlined ruffling on the shoulders. The color is so fresh and a la Hermes, so it looks like designer wear.
I bought a similar top last year from the Nanette Lapore boutique in black. It has the same exact detailing.  So when I saw the same exact top at the Arden B store and for 10% of what I paid for it, (I hate! hate! when that happens) I went ahead and ordered it in this beautiful orange color that will continue to be IN in 2011 (it appeared a few times on the NY FW SS 2011 runway). It was for an amazing $29.00

Tucker for Target Signature Blouse Choices to Die For

Target (aka Targee) has a new designer collection out. This one is by Tucker. They have some fabulous pieces that I saw at the store today. The one I tried on and loved in all the different patters they had (I got all three) was this "signature" blouse. I love the effortless chicness of it and the versatility. Just imagine, I can wear with my suit tucked in, I can wear it with a skirt and a belt on top, I can wear it with jeans for a weekend look, or I can put it on top of one of my sleeveless dresses and cinch it with a wide belt for a layering effect. All those options for just $29.99
